This Site is owned and operated by Pilates Works.
These terms and conditions include general terms and conditions for the use of this site, as well as terms and conditions relating to the services provided by Pilates Works on the site and in our studio. Please read these terms and conditions carefully. Your use of the site and the purchase of any products or services on this site will be subject to these terms and conditions. By using this site, you hereby agree to our terms and conditions.
Class Bookings and Payments
- Availability: Classes are always subject to availability, but we will do our best to accommodate you in your chosen class.
- Payments: All payments for classes are accepted by Pilates Works on behalf of the teacher conducting the class.
- Cancellations: A minimum of 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel a group class, private 1:1, or duet 2:1. Cancellations must be made personally via your online account. Cancellations made outside of this timeframe will be charged as a Late Cancellation (full fee). ‘No Shows’ will also be charged as a Late Cancellation.
- Advance Payment: All classes/sessions must be paid for in advance. Clients with an outstanding balance may not attend sessions until the balance is paid in full.
- Refunds: Pilates Works does not issue refunds.
- Induction Packages: Induction Packages can only be purchased once.
- Payment Methods: Payment is made securely via Stripe. Cheque or cash is not accepted.
- VAT: All prices include VAT.
- Expulsion: We reserve the right to expel you from the studio or suspend you if you seriously or repeatedly break the conditions of this agreement or fail to pay sums owed on or before the due date. If expelled, you will cease to be a client of Pilates Works and all unused and booked sessions will be forfeited.
Membership Terms
- Rolling Membership: Membership is on a rolling basis with monthly auto-payment setup.
- Payment Date: Your enrolment date becomes your payment date each month.
- Active Card Requirement: You must ensure you always have an active card stored on your online account.
- Credits: Any unused credits cannot be transferred to another client or moved to another month.
- Session Allocation: Once each auto-payment is made, you will be given a monthly allocation of sessions. You can use your monthly allocation however you wish within that period.
- Cancellation: Sessions must be cancelled via your online account, not by phone/email. Late cancellations result in lost sessions.
- Notice to Cancel: One full month’s notice in writing is required to cancel. For example, if your membership runs from the 15th of the month, you need to provide notice prior to the 15th for that to be your last payment.
- Reinstatement: After the 12-month contract period, you can reinstate your membership by logging in to Bsport or contacting the studio directly. If not done ahead of the payment period of the last month of the contract, you will not be able to book classes for the following months.
- Annual Review: All memberships and studio prices are reviewed annually, usually in March.
Health and Safety
- Health Screening: All clients are required to complete and sign a health screening form on their first visit and must disclose any relevant details.
- Exercise Discomfort: If at any time during a session you feel uncomfortable with any exercise, stop immediately and inform the instructor.
- Medical Interruptions: If your membership/sessions are interrupted for longer than four weeks due to medical reasons, inform the teacher, and ensure your workout is adjusted accordingly.
- Medical Updates: Inform Pilates Works of any changes to your medical details or health status to update records and inform teachers.
- Risk Declaration: By attending the studio, you declare that all exercises prescribed or administered to you are undertaken at your own risk. Pilates Works and its staff are not responsible for any injuries.
- Foot Complaints: If you have a verruca or similar foot complaint, you must wear socks in the studio.
- Age Policy: If aged 12-15, a waiver must be signed by a parent/guardian, who must also be present during the session. If aged 16-17, a waiver must be signed by a parent/guardian.
- Prenatal Policy: Doctor’s approval is needed before attending. Private 1:1 sessions are recommended for tailored monitoring.
Housekeeping
- Teacher Substitution: Pilates Works reserves the right to substitute teachers due to sickness or holiday.
- Class Changes: Classes may be canceled or changed due to teacher sickness, holidays, or low attendance (two or fewer).
- Service Changes: We reserve the right to make changes to our services at any time.
- Late Admittance: No admittance to a class after 10 minutes of start time.
- Food and Drink: No chewing gum, food, sugary, or fizzy drinks near studio apparatus.
- Phones and Belongings: Phones should be on silent, and personal belongings kept in the reception area. Pilates Works is not responsible for lost, misplaced, or stolen items.
- Session Duration: All sessions are 55 minutes.
- Fitness Clothing: Wear suitable fitness clothing and avoid jewelry. Do not wear zips or buttons as they can damage apparatus.
- Behavior: Foul language and aggressive behavior are not tolerated. Please respect our teachers, studio, and other clients.
