Kate Laidler

Pilates Instructor

Kate was born in Surrey – a ballet Cecchetti Scholar, who gained much of her experience from studying at the Royal Ballet School and others, then furthered her training in a range of dance styles and techniques at The London Studio Centre, England. 

Kate travelled the world on a Celebrity Cruise Line as a dancer, training and performing with Cirque Du Soleil as an aerialist.

She spent much of her dance career performing in various musicals such as: Cats, West Side Story, Hairspray, Mamma Mia, Phantom of the Opera and Grease and has also danced alongside ‪Robbie Williams‬ and ‪Elton John‬. An extensive dance career which led to Kate taking on the role of Head of Dance at Cranleigh School in Surrey. 

Kate has been practising Stotts Pilates for sixteen years and has her advanced matwork certification. 

Kate has three children, two boys – she finds life challenging but rewarding, juggling teaching with the little humans! 

Kate has a favourite quotation from Joseph Pilates which she stands by:- “change happens through movement and movement heals”
