What is the difference between Reformer Pilates and Mat Pilates?

Reformer Pilates uses a special machine called a Reformer, which provides resistance to help build strength, flexibility, and balance. Mat Pilates is performed on the floor using your own body weight for resistance.

We recommend 2-3 times a week to see and feel the most from Pilates. We have various packages and membership packs available on our website or on our app.

Yes, we offer a men only mat class. All other classes are mixed.

Our studio is located in a private mews just minutes from Birkdale Village in Southport at 3A Crown Mews, 91A King Street, Southport, PR8 1LQ ( a few doors from the Cheshire Lines pub).

What should I wear to a Pilates class?

Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing that allows for a full range of motion. Avoid clothing with zips or buttons to prevent damage to the equipment. We sell Varley activewear at the studio.

Do I need pilates socks/grip socks?

Yes we advise our clients to wear non slip pilates socks in our classes – we sell these at the studio in Womens and Mens sizes/styles.

Do I need to bring any equipment?

No, all necessary equipment will be provided by the studio. However, you are welcome to bring your own mat if you prefer.
